24hrs in LA

Less than three months since I was in LA and I’m back again – didn’t expect to be back this soon but hey, I’m not complaining!

This time around, our stay in LA was going to be for merely 24hrs as the majority of the work trip was to be spent in Las Vegas (saving this for the next post!).

We jetsetted from Tokyo on a Friday evening with a 10hrs and 45 minutes flight journey ahead of us. I hate to admit this but I’m a big fan of airport looks – I like to “dress up” because I feel as though it really makes a difference to your traveling experience. Anyway, I kept a neutral outfit palette with these comfy nude colored jogger pants and a graphic tee that read “effortless” – exactly what I was going for 😉 And of course I had to wear my trusted embroidered mules (they’re a life saver at security checks!)

We landed at Tom Bradley International Airport around Friday noon and took an Uber to Rodeo Drive to check-in to our hotel. There was an oddly satisfying feeling I had as we drove from the airport to Beverly Hills – you come across such a vast cultural diversity, vibrancy and intriguing neighborhoods.

After a 35 minute Uber ride from the airport, we reached Luxe Hotel, so conveniently located on Rodeo Drive. We quickly checked in and had a bite to eat at the lounge area.

We spent a couple of hours running errands before we left for Vegas the next morning.

Latter of the evening was spent walking around Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard in the hopes of trying to stay awake as jet lag kicked in.

I dropped by Sephora to pick up some products I’ve been wanting to try and came across the cutest sight ever! The bull dog laid quietly in one of the aisles while his owner shopped – so obedient!

As Beverly Hills was a recurring place in our last trip I was quite familiarized by the streets and a simple wander down the boulevard was as rewarding as any amount of sight seeing.

Calling it a night by 9:30pm on the first day, jet lag had other plans…

I zapped between TV channels as I eagerly waited for it to be dawn soon.
